BUILDING A BETTER TOMORROW
T.R.U.T.H. Studios, the creator of I.P. Soul, has enhanced its vision to bring forth the benevolent genre in the world. T.R.U.T.H. Studios’ artists teamed up with other distinguished professionals to teach eager students that share the vision of creating a better world through the means of I.P. Soul Entertainment. The teachers are well educated in their craft with a significant amount of experience that equips them to teach others how to hone their skills. T.R.U.T.H. Studios formed the Dove School of Arts to create an avenue in Louisville where artist will refine their talents; provide a path that leads from students to employment while changing the face of entertainment.
The genre I.P. Soul is defined as inspirational pop soul which is a fusion of popular genres with a distinct message meant to inspire and uplift the audience’s hearts. Each pupil will be taught with the curriculum that solely incorporates I.P. Soul. The students will not only learn how to perform in the I.P. soul genre but most importantly, how to live it! I.P. Soul’s foundation is on the universal principle of “treating others how you want to be treated.” The violence, murders, and injustices have increased in Louisville Kentucky over the years. There are several key factors that influence a person’s quality of life and entertainment is one of them. In 2016, Louisville Kentucky experienced the worst murder tally in decades. The murder rate has risen over the years with majority of the killings in black neighborhoods, according to the Courier Journal. The black community has seen a rise in murders and crime.
The Dove School of Arts will focus on artistic education that will help build character. The community is in the heart. What make up the community are each individual's actions. A person’s actions rather it be good or evil comes directly from the heart. The acts of stealing and killing come from within the heart first, then manifested outwardly once the act is committed. The Dove School of Arts will teach students how to change their hearts, therefore changing the community. Individuals have to be changed within. Studies have shown that students that participate in arts are more likely to graduate from high school and score better on test. However, with that students that major in the arts have the highest unemployment rate at 7.2%. The ones that do become employed take low paying jobs that don’t require a degree, according to cnn.com. There is a gap between the artistic and employment. The goal is bridge that gap, to prepare students for employment in the arts; to give them the tools of success to build their brand and to educate them on how to give back to others that are less fortunate. Employment in their field will help the economy by putting their skill set in good use to society.
Our goal is to grant scholarships to at least 50 students to attend the Dove School of Arts. These 50 students would have to meet the requirements by displaying a passionate eagerness to succeed in their craft and have a willingness to help others. For the enrollment year of July 2017-2018, the Dove School of Arts will facilitate 6 different classes including voice, dance, acting, piano, modeling, and production. The students will be able to choose which class they would like to participate in. The classes are led by a team of professionals who are experts in their field. There are four key areas that The Dove School of Arts will emphasize for the development of the artistic community.
· The Dove School of Arts will help take artist from students to employment.
· The Dove School of Arts will not only teach students how to perfect their talent but will also put the talent to use.
· The students of the Dove School of Arts will be able to display their heightened talent every 6 weeks through a Performance Showcase.
· The Dove School of Arts will empower the students with the resources of building their brand. This includes resume building, brag sheets, portfolios, media kits, etc.
There will be a showcase for each art discipline. At the Showcase, the students will have the opportunity to perform in front of an audience that will consist of parents, peers, family members, radio personnel, talent agencies, and personnel from other media sources. This will give the students more exposure. In addition to the Showcases, the students will have the opportunity to go on 3 audition trips and 1 arts education field trip. The audition trips will be tailored to the craft that the student is in. These audition trips will be in nearby cities within a 600 mile radius. The goal of the Dove School of Arts is to have at least 50% of its students hired in their field by July 2018. The auditions are an important part of the curriculum because of its added benefit to the students. The audition trips will build confidence in the artist, give them an opportunity to have live interaction with the auditioners, meet other artist in the field, and help build their brand.
